About
Who We Are
The Armenian Youth Council is a grassroots organization dedicated to uplifting Armenian voices. We believe that through the empowerment of Armenians and our allies, we can enact the necessary social and political changes that serve the needs of our community. Through various initiatives, we seek to mandate Armenian Genocide education throughout the United States and fight for worldwide Armenian Genocide recognition.
Our Vision
We aim to become the leading drive behind Armenian youth movements through advocacy and education. By gaining accurate representation in schools and in politics, the Armenian cause will ultimately be strengthened. Serving as a united force for Armenian youth to collaborate and work for change, we will ensure that we are recognized and protected both at home and abroad.
Our Goals
By the end of 2022, we hope to:
Create an Armenian Genocide curriculum suitable for all levels of educationOrganize a forum to share stories of Armenian Genocide survivors and other Armenian success storiesLobby to mandate Armenian Genocide education throughout the United StatesEstablish a podcast to discuss current eventsForm a team of global AYC ambassadorsCharter AYC chapters at schools worldwideHost events and volunteer activities that bridge the gap between Armenia and the diaspora
